Quit Q&A

Need help?

How do I build a support network?

A good support system when quitting smoking is essential in maintaining a quit. This support comes from family, friends, co-workers and other ex-smokers. Beforehand, get your support people and resources ready and waiting on the sidelines. Talk to those who will be supportive in your quit and let them know how they can help you. These are the people in your life who care about you, so an honest and heartfelt request will likely get you the support you need.

You can start making connections to other ex-smokers right here at the Q. Interacting with other ex-smokers who have gone or are going through similar quit experiences is extremely helpful. Whether your support network is small or large, your quit-success will depend on the extent to which you use it. There really is no need to quit alone!
