Quit Q&A

Need help?

There are many brands of herbal therapies; why shouldn't I try them?

There is no scientific evidence that herbal supplements help smokers quit smoking. Herbal supplements are not regulated by the FDA and may have adverse side effects. They also can be expensive. Check out the side effects on a reputable reference site before taking herbal supplements. If you have health issues and/or are on medications, you should check with their doctor before using herbal supplements, especially lobelia, St. John’s Wort and valerian. We suggest you maintain a healthy diet; especially one with fresh fruits and vegetables.
