Quit Q&A

Need help?

Does smoking and/or quitting have any effect on cholesterol?

Smoking will help to raise your bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and lower the good (HDL). Quitting will, in most cases, raise your good cholesterol levels and lower the bad. Remember this, because you may need to adjust any cholesterol meds you might be on, after quitting.
