You can stay quit regardless of anything or anyone. No one else can make you choose smoking, no matter how many triggers may arise. Let the smoker know your quitting plans, how important quitting smoking is to you and what they can do to be helpful. Give specifics, such as not smoking in front of you, continuing to go outside to smoke, keeping cigarettes and lighters out of your sight, or any other situation you think might cause you to slip and light up. Connect with other nonsmokers, here on the QuitNet or through nonsmoking friends or family members. You may have to weather the change and inconvenience in the first few days/weeks/months of your quit, but if you resolve to do whatever it takes to remain smoke-free, you will be successful!
