There’s less information available on medications for smokeless tobacco. Varenicline (Chantix) appears to be effective, although less so than with smokers. There’s some evidence that the lozenge – but not the other forms of nicotine replacement – works. In general, we suggest talking to your doctor about varenicline if you’re interested in using a medication to help you quit smokeless tobacco.
