There are a few different ways to get NRT:
If you’re sponsored by your health insurer or employer:
Some insurers and employers include free NRT with their sponsorship. If you’re eligible for it, you’ll see a "Premium Membership" option under the main menu (the gear icon on the desktop website, or the three-line menu icon on mobile). If you believe that free NRT is included in your sponsorship but you’re having trouble registering into your premium membership, contact Support. Please include the name of your insurer or employer in your message.
If you aren't sponsored by your health insurer or employer, and you have health insurance:
Go to the QuitNet NRT Navigator, where you'll find easy-to-follow instructions for getting free NRT. Quit-smoking medications are free to almost anyone who has insurance. In most cases, your insurer is required by law to pay for three months of the patch, gum, or lozenges, up to twice a year.
If you aren't sponsored by your health insurer or employer, and you don't have insurance:
Call 1 (800) QUIT-NOW (784-8669) and ask if your state offers free or subsidized NRT. You can also save money by buying store-brand NRT at a drugstore or discount store.
